A magical sundowner at Cabo da Roca, Portugal
Description:
We packed a bag and took the bus to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe. I was sceptical that maybe it was just another touristic attraction overrun with people. There were indeed a lot of tourists, so instead of joining them at the area around the lighthouse, we turned off the road and walked along an overgrown path that led us across bushes and over rocks to the end of the cliffs. I knew that Portugal had to offer some scenic spots, but the view from there was absolutely breathtaking. Being the only ones there, we sat down on our blanket, opened our bottle of wine and a bag of chips. Looking over the seamingly endless ocean, while watching the sun going down and sharing this magical moment with two of my closest friends I thought:"This is what freedom feels like".
