I've always loved to gaze at my surroundings, spotting the tiniest bug on a leaf, a specially shaped tree or a man with a funny hat. At the age of ten I started capturing these moments – first with a digicam, then with a SLR camera, then with my phone and also with film cameras in school. Over the years, however, my focus shifted to design and my cameras slowly gathered dust on the shelf. Until, in my early twenties, I got my hands on an old film camera and re-discovered my passion for photography – especially on film. In our fast-paced world where everyone takes a thousand pictures of everything I love taking a step back, deciding twice if I want to take this shot or not, making every setting carefully and not knowing how that picture turned out until I get back my files from the lab. And that thrill will forever be one of the best things ever.
